Bio

Vince originates from Bishop’s Falls, NL where he attended the local school system graduating from High School in 1973. Upon completion of high school, Vince pursued a career in accounting resulting in him being hired by the Bank of Nova Scotia.

During his 35 plus years with the Bank of Nova Scotia he occupied positions of various responsibilities covering Manager-Operations, Foreign Exchange Trader, Manager-Credit, Commercial Banking Officer and Branch Manager. Vince’s career saw him relocate to several communities in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia.

It was with these relocations that Vince came to under the dynamics of local economic development having involved himself in many of the local community groups including the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, the Curling Club and the Golf Club and other community organizations.

During this time, Vince continue to pursue his love of accounting, interrupting his bank career for work terms in the public accounting sector as well as in economic development. During his various careers, Vince has continued his education at a variety of educational institutions, always looking for the next challenge.

Vince is a Certified Personal Financial Planner and is a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers. He is the recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow from Rotary International and the Diocesan Medal of Merit from the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth. Both were awarded for his community efforts in Amherst.

Vince currently operates his own financial management firm in Amherst where he resides with his son Adam.
