Each year communities across Canada celebrate National Volunteer week to thank and honour individuals who donate their time to help others and support causes in which they believe. This year National Volunteer Week runs from April 7-13.
The Town of Amherst will honour our nominated local volunteers during the Volunteer Appreciation Reception on Tuesday, April 9, at the Community Credit Union Business Innovations Center. Individuals will be recognized for their outstanding contribution to our community.
Shelley Carroll was selected as the Volunteer of the Year, while Aaron Froese was named the Youth Volunteer of the Year.
