As we wind down to the end of February, we can certainly say it was a busy month.
Winter Carnival had so many great events that got people out and active. We would like to take this opportunity to once again thank all of our partners for participating this year. Without your support and commitment, we would not have been able to offer more than 100 activities for our community to enjoy!
Even though Winter Carnival is over, and it’s still the winter season, there are still many different ways to get out and get active in your community.
Do all these cold days have you dreaming about warmer weather and lush greenery?
Well, those days are eventually coming but, in the meantime, there is still plenty that you can do to ensure the growing season ahead is a successful one.
This is the perfect time of year to plan ahead for what you intend to plant in those holes in your gardens that you noticed during the past growing season. This is also a great time to sit down with your favourite seed catalogue, or host a seed swap with friends and plan what it is you will be growing this year to provide a valuable food resource for yourself, your family or your friends.
Time to kick those New Year fitness resolutions into gear!
Our goal is to be the most active, healthy community in Nova Scotia, and we need your help. Are you in?
It’s time to sit less and move more! We all need activity in our lives. Being active daily will leave long-lasting, positive benefits to your physical, social and mental health.
