Wayne 'Butch' MacKenzie is new at the town council, being elected in the October 2016 municipal election. I was born and raised in Amherst and I am proud to be a hometown boy. I graduated from Amherst Regional High School`s class of 1985. I continued my education at Dartmouth Regional Vocational School`s Retail Management Program. Following completion of my education, I returned home to Amherst to work and start a family. I am married to Cheryl, have three children, Jennifer, Ryan, and Evan. I have my own business, been employed in the automotive industry for 29 years. Very active in volunteering for 21 years with youth baseball and hockey. I have served as a president and vice president of Cumberland Minor Hockey and pilot program for ARHS hockey team September 2012 to present.

I am highly motivated with a positive personality. This combined with my strong work ethic means I will fight for you and make our town grow. I am committed and determined to improve on all great aspencts of Amherst so we can have economic growth and prosperity. I am excited to get started. Thanks to all my supporters.
