What's Up Rec?

Lots to do during March Break

We are almost half way through March!

As we enter the last month of winter, experts suggest practising self-care. Here are some simple tips you many want to consider:

  • Snuggle up with a warm blanket, make some popcorn and plan a movie night.
  • Create a playlist of songs that lift you up.
  • Turn off your phone and focus on yourself.
  • Hangout with people that make you smile and laugh.
  • Start a journal.

Staying active in Amherst is affordable and fun!

If you are an avid skater or have always wanted to try, we have you covered. We have free skate and helmet rentals at the Amherst Stadium, as well as free skate times. We also have our outdoor skating rink, if you prefer to skate outside, perhaps under the stars. Thank you to the Recreation and Public Works staff for maintaining the outdoor ice surface for us all to enjoy!
