Take advantage of one of our many green spaces and outdoor seating areas, located throughout the town, to work outside on a beautiful summer's day.

Life outside of work

Our maritime hospitality and diverse culture are celebrated all year long through many festivals and events that the whole family can enjoy. Experience community spirit, pride and a sense of belonging.

With a flexible work schedule, you can make more time for yourself and your family. You can take your pup for a run at the off-leash dog park, enjoy free public skating, borrow a pair of snowshoes or activity kit from our free equipment lending program or cool off at one of our two splash parks.

You could also take the time to shoot some hoops or play pickleball at the multipurpose court, get in a round of golf, play tennis on our new beautiful courts, or go for a walk to find all of our unique outdoor murals that were created by local artists.

In addition, you could take a fitness class or go for a swim at the YMCA, unwind with yoga, go for a bike ride or just visit a park and play!

These are just a few of the activities you will have access to just minutes away from your home.

Cumberland County also offers some of the best hidden gems in Canada. You can go on an adventure and visit dozens of waterfalls or hike our many trails, walk along our ancient fossil cliffs or take advantage of our beautiful beaches, all of which are within a 40-minute drive.
