Please note that playing hockey on this surface is not permitted, but you can enjoy a nice leisurely skate.

Exercise can help you get through busy December

We know December will be very busy with everyone getting ready for Christmas, but we want to encourage you to still get out and get active. Did you know exercise in almost any form can act as a stress reliever? Being active can boost your feel-good endorphins and distract you from daily worries and stress. And we have lots of activities for you!

The Amherst Stadium Recreation Office, Four Fathers Library and the Cumberland YMCA loan snowshoes free of charge. What a great way to enjoy our outdoor tracks and trails over the winter.

We also have our free holiday swimming at the YMCA. Don’t forget about our outdoor skating surface at the corner of Victoria St and Maple Ave. This will be open daily again this winter, weather permitting.

If you wish to walk outside our trails and parks are open. Please note the Dickey Park washroom is open daily from 9 a.m. to sunset.
