Amherst town council will consider a request by Cumberland Ridge Development Corp. to amend its existing development agreement for Cumberland Ridge Drive at a public meeting on Nov. 27.

The amendment would allow the developer to sell lots on which mobile homes could be placed. The current agreement only allows the developer to lease the lots to mobile home owners.

The public meeting, which begins at 6:30 p.m., is being held in the Amherst town hall council chambers immediately before the start of the monthly council session. It will hear submissions that support or oppose the proposed amendment.

Written submissions may be sent to the chief administrative officer, but they must be delivered no later than noon on Nov. 24.
