Council appoints chair and vice-chair of new Inclusion, Diversity and Equity committee
The Amherst town council appointed Deputy-Mayor Hal Davidson as the chairperson of its new Inclusion, Diversity and Equity Committee when it met in special session on Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2021.
The council also appointed Coun. Lisa Emery as the committee’s vice-chairperson.
The purpose of the new committee is to advise the Amherst town council on matters related to inclusion, diversity and equity within the community and within the Corporation of the Town of Amherst.
Citizen appointees to the committee appointed last month were Tammy Drew, Holly Martin, Tammy Gerro and Jolene Gouchie.
