The Town of Amherst, in partnership with LED Roadway Lighting, is excited to present a Community Graduate Celebration for our 2020 Amherst Regional High School Graduates. The Town of Amherst wants to celebrate our Graduates and their accomplishments. We want to make this celebration as memorable as possible, while keeping within the guidelines set out by the Government of Nova Scotia.
Those in the graduating class of 2020, along with their family household bubble, will have the opportunity to be together in a safe and physically distanced environment and share a special celebration we hope will create a lifelong lasting memory for all. The celebration will happen Friday, June 26, at 6 p.m. on the LED Roadway Lighting grounds, 21 Tantramar Crescent. Invitations and further details with be provided to the graduates and their families soon.
Bordertown Biker Bash: July. Annual motorcycle rally with tours of scenic Nova Scotia, a burnout competition, stunt shows, live music, and a live concert.
'A Fest: September. Family-friendly activities and live music.
Nova Scotia Fibre Arts Festival: October. Atlantic Canada's largest fiber arts festivals with exciting creative workshops, stunning exhibits, and hands-on demonstrations.
Amherst Winter Carnival: February. Celebrate heart, culture, and play with more than 100 activities over seven days. Highlights include a chili challenge, live entertainment, art classes, skating parties, an outdoor play day, and Heritage Day activities.
French Toast Fest: March 26-April 1, 2020. When you have an egg factory, a bread factory, and are surrounded by maple sugar woods, what's a town to do? Have a French Toast Fest! Local chefs create specialty French Toast dishes especially for French Toast Fest.
