In an effort to increase use of the Amherst Stadium and to support the Town of Amherst's Physical Activity Strategy, the Town of Amherst announced a pilot policy project to eliminate the ice-time fees for youth and youth-serving organizations who wish to use the Amherst Stadium. The aims of this policy are to encourage an increase in physical activity among young people, to help the Town of Amherst to be the most active, healthy community in NS, and to help create economic spin-offs for the Town.
You are invited to take part in a follow-up evaluation survey of the Ice Allocation Policy Project that is being implemented during the 2017-18 ice season at the Amherst Stadium. The purpose of this survey is to determine if the project continues to be successful and how it can continually be improved.
This evaluation is being conducted at Dalhousie University in partnership with the Town of Amherst and the Evaluation Committee of the project. Both stadium users and non-users are encouraged to participate in the survey, including community members, business people, municipal and provincial government staff, and sports organizations members.
Participating in this evaluation is voluntary and you may choose to stop at any time without penalty. You do not need to provide any identifying information in the survey and responses will be collected anonymously. The survey will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. The survey will be available between February 19th and March 30th, 2018.
All survey participants who complete the survey will have an opportunity to enter a draw to win one of two $25 Atlantic Superstore gift certificates. At the end of the survey, you can click on a separate weblink to enter the draw, which cannot be linked to your survey responses.
