Tamara Porter appointed acting business development officer

Tamara Porter has been appointed as the acting business development officer for the Town of Amherst, effective Dec. 20.

Porter will be filling the position while Rebecca Taylor, the current business development officer, is off on medical leave. Taylor is anticipated to return to her duties in mid-February 2020.

Porter has significant experience in the retail business sector and will be able to continue moving projects forward in Taylor’s absence. The active-living role will continue to have Porter’s oversight, with help from Eileen Davage and Jennifer Bickerton for actual daily activities.
