Pat Skinner was all smiles Tuesday.
“I’ve been working towards this for a long time,” Skinner, a Centennial Villa resident said, moments after she cut a ribbon to officially open a new crosswalk on Church Street.
“Seeing the crosswalk in place is one of the best days of my life.”
The World Junior A Challenge match between Team Canada West and Team Russia drew a large crowd at the Amherst Stadium on Friday, Dec. 8. The Town of Amherst has entered into a new development agreement with Cumberland Ridge Development Corp.
Robert Angus Drive will be reduced to two lanes on Nov. 29 as workers from Maritech Construction Inc. begin to install a pressure reducing valve chamber that is part of Amherst’s $5.5-million reservoir replacement project.
