A Nova Scotia tradition
Sending Off the Tree for Boston
One of Nova Scotia's most cherished holiday traditions is the annual Christmas tree sent to Boston in thanks for the city's assistance following the Halifax Explosion of 1917.
Amherst is the tree's final Nova Scotia stop on its journey to Boston. Join us for live music, hot chocolate and a special community send-off before the tree continues on its way to Boston Common.
