Summer Programming

Summer Day Camps

The Town of Amherst Day Camps are available for children ages 5 to 11. Stay tuned for more information on weekly Day Camps Themes and locations.

Registration will open on Tuesday May 27th, 2025 at 9:00am. The registration link will be posted on the website and on our Facebook page. You can also register in person at Town Hall, 98 Victoria St E, Amherst, NS.

Tennis

The Town of Amherst's Tennis program is available for children aged 6 to 12. Tennis sessions are located at Amherst Lion's Park, 40 Hickman St. Registration is required. Registration is accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Waitlists are automatically generated for programs that are full.

Summer Swim Program

We're proud to partner with the Cumberland YMCA to host the Summer Swim Lesson program at the YMCA. Sessions include daily lessons over 10 days, scheduled for:

  • July 7 - July 18, 2025
  • July 21 - August, 2025
  • August 11 - 22, 2025

Cost: $30 / session
