Trail Closures Due to Provincial Woods Closure
Due to the Province of Nova Scotia’s closure of all wooded areas in response to extremely dry and high fire-risk conditions, several walking trails in Amherst are closed until further notice.
The Following Trails are Currently Closed:
- Motor Avenue to Derby Street (Marsh Trail)
- Abbey Road to Willow Street (Dickey Brook Trail)
- Clinton Street to NSCC
These closures are part of the provincewide effort to reduce wildfire risk and keep our community safe.
We ask all residents and visitors to respect these closures. Updates will be provided if additional trails are impacted or when conditions change.
