RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Duties as assigned by the Engineering Technician and/or Public Works Foremen such as measuring project areas, taking notes, placing survey stakes, and monitoring on-site contractors.
  • Ensuring proper safety practices are followed on job sites, maintaining construction records, preparing reports as needed.
  • Assisting the Engineering Technician and/or Public Works Foremen with planning and supervising work as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge and experience in civil construction would be considered an asset.
  • Engineering student in a post-secondary institution. Applicants who have completed two full years will be considered an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s licence.
  • Must be physically able to walk long distances, lift 50 lbs, reach and bend.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, commencing late April/early May 2025.
  • Ability to work evenings and/or weekends on occasion, dependent upon operational need.
  • The rate of pay shall be $19.70/hr.
