The Town of Amherst Strategic Plan for 2024-2028 was recently adopted by Council.

Our goal is for Amherst to grow in a way that is sustainable, inclusive and true to our character. By setting and achieving goals, our plan is intended to build pride in our accomplishments and foster optimism for the future.

Complaints shall be received in a written format either the form below, via letter, or by email. Each complaint must include:
- The complainant's name
- Contact information
The complaint must be signed by the complainant. Anonymous complaints will not be investigated.
Complaints shall be considered confidential but are subject to Part XX of the Municipal Government Act, Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy.

Minimum Standards for Residential Occupancies
Complaints pursuant to this bylaw must be submitted by the tenant in a written format, either the form below, via letter, or by email.
Any tenant that wishes to register a complaint with the Town with regard to lack of maintenance of their dwelling unit/apartment building shall first advise the landlord in writing of the concerns in order to allow the landlord the opportunity to address the maintenance issue first. If these concerns are not addressed adequately, a complaint can be registered with the Town. Such a complaint shall be accompanied by a copy of the letter to the landlord indicating the method and date of service to the landlord.
