Since the pdf Amherst Stadium(4.43 MB) was built in 1959, it has been home to many great events on and off the ice. The Stadium is host to the Amherst Junior A Ramblers, Cumberland County Minor Hockey, Amherst Skating Club, and many athletic and community events. An indoor walking track is open daily. The building is fully accessible.
Through an innovative pilot project, public skating is offered free of charge and ice rental fees are waived for youth programs (minor hockey, figure skating). The intent of this pilot is for organizations to pass the equivalent savings to their members, resulting in reduced registration fees and greater access to sports for all families.
