Water Main Cleaning and Flushing - Tyndal Road, Duckling Dell, John Black Road
- Details
- Category: Public Notices
Please be advised that the Amherst Water Utility will be performing water main cleaning and flushing on Thursday May 15, 2025 and Friday May 16, 2025 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. in the Tyndal Road, Duckling Dell and John Black Road areas of the water system.
During this time, you may experience discolored water and low water pressure. We suggest that you may want to run some water for reserve prior to this time. If you typically operate a booster pump within your residence you may want to shut this off to avoid sediment from entering the pump. Following the flushing you may need to allow your cold water to run for a few minutes until it becomes clear.
It is suggested that you thoroughly flush your system following this time to release any entrapped air and sediment from your system.
Related Note: Water main flushing activities are planned to begin on May 20, 2025 and continue for several weeks in all other areas of town.
Should you have any questions or concerns please call 902-667-3334.
