Work is scheduled for Tuesday, August 11, 2026, in the area of 105 South Albion Street - between Frank & Gino's and the dental office. Water and sewer services are being installed for a new residential development.

This holiday Monday, August 3, 2026, the following Town facilities will be closed:
- Town Hall
- Community Credit Union Business Innovation Centre (CCUBIC)
- The Amherst Stadium
Police and Fire services will operate as usual over the holiday weekend.

Amherst Stadium Closing for Annual Maintenance - 2026

Preparing for the Season Ahead
The Amherst Stadium will be closed for three weeks starting Friday, August 7, re-opening on Tuesday, August 26, 2026.
During this time, staff will be re-installing the ice surface and completing annual maintenance.
Exception: the Stadium will be open for the EXIT 1 Summer Bash on August 13.
